Marian Apparition Website

http://members.tripod.com/~prodigalsonMedjugorje. A Marian Apparition Website.

In 1981, the Blessed Virgin Mary began appearing and delivering messages from Heaven for our world to six visionaries in the village of Medjugorje in Bosnia/Herzegovina. The apparitions have continued since that time on a daily basis. The messages Our Lady of Medjugorje brings to us in these apparitions are messages of peace, love, and conversion which will guide us to her Son, Jesus. This site is devoted to sharing Our Lady's messages with the world and helping everyone to understand the urgency of Our Lady's call to conversion.

International Christian organization

http://www.wcc-coe.org The World Council of Churches (WCC) is an international Christian organization built upon the foundation of ecumenical collaboration, grounded in the ancient prayer of Jesus for unity in his church. The WCC exists to serve the ecumenical movement by encouraging in its members a common commitment to follow the gospel. It serves so that people everywhere may see the glory of the Triune God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The prayer of the WCC is for the renewal and faithful response of the church in witness and service to the world.

The goal of the WCC is not to build a global "super-church", nor to standardize styles of worship, but rather to deepen the communion of Christian churches and communities so they may see in one other authentic expressions of the "one, holy, catholic and apostolic church". Such communion becomes the basis for joining in a common confession of the apostolic faith, cooperating in mission and human service endeavours and, where possible, sharing in the sacraments.

In 1950, two fellowships in the Community Church Movement joined in a historic merger. At the time, their joining represented the largest interracial merger of religious bodies in America. The new creation was the International Council of Community Churches. Member churches and centers united to be a fellowship of ecumenically-minded, freedom-loving churches cooperating in fulfilling the mission of the Church in the world. As a post-denominational movement for over 40 years, the Council has witnessed and worked for Christian unity and reconciliation in human society. And this is the work it carries into the 21st Century.
